2021 Spring Art and Craft Faire at the Twentynine Palms Art Gallery – March 20, 2021

Congratulations! Thank you for your interest in the second annual 29 Palms Art Gallery Spring Art and Craft Faire. We look forward to your participation. The event kicks off on Saturday, March 20th, at 9:00 AM and ends at 4:00 PM. March 20th just happens to be the first day of spring! The address for the 29 Palms Art Gallery is 74055 Cottonwood Drive, Twentynine Palms, CA 92277. To reach the gallery in 29 Palms, from Hwy 62, turn south on National Park Drive, then right on Cottonwood. The gallery is in an historic adobe building with a large patio area and nice palm trees out front for shade.
*Participation fees. Use this link: https://29palmsartgallery.com/pay-art-faire-fees/ to make your final payment. As a reminder, there are no commission fees, and we’ll have free coffee and snacks. Please print out and bring your proof of payment for your space. Fees are $50 for 10x10 tent space. $30 for 6x8 table space.
There will be important changes in 2021 to help ensure a safe event for visitors and artists. Booth spaces, 10x10, will be spread out more so visitors have ample room to move about while practicing social distancing. Pump bottles of hand sanitizers will be available in numerous locations throughout the venue. We will be requiring masks by vendors and artists. No exceptions. During the event, artists will use a separate bathroom than the one available to the public. Both will be cleaned hourly.
There will be a Plein Air painting event coinciding with the Art Faire. Painters will spread out on the grounds of the gallery, while a few may opt to paint at the 29 Palms Inn or the Old School House Museum. The painters will return to the gallery by 1:00 PM, where there will be a live silent auction of the paintings. A portion of the proceeds will go towards funding the children’s education program at the 29 Palms Art Gallery.
Please help promote the event. If you are on Facebook, please like the 29 Palms Art Gallery page, and share the event notice. Invite your friends and family. Create your own post about the Art and Craft Faire and please share. Radio spots will run for 2 weeks. Radio station Z107.7, CA Welcome Center, and 29 Palms Visitor Center all will have the event on their websites. There will be a large banner outside the 29 Palms Visitor Center and road signs promoting the Art Faire. Additional signage will be in place on March 20th directing visitors to the gallery and parking. Beginning the first of March, we’ll be posting artists artwork photos and bios on our Facebook page.
All artists must arrive between 6:30 AM and 8:00. When you arrive, park in the paved lot. There will be event helpers with a site list to assist you at check-in. All spaces will be marked with boundaries and your name. If you reserved a table space with table rental, those will be available for you by 7:00. You will be able to park closer to unload, if space allows. Please arrive to allow ample time to be set-up and ready for visitors by 8:30. At 8:30, all cars must be moved to the parking lot behind the building. An event assistant will show you the location. For those with mobility issues, there will be a reserved parking space for you close to your assigned location. You must let us know in advance.
*This is a family friendly event and everyone is welcome.
*Artists are responsible for their own cash change and means to process sales. There is no commission due at this event.
*Although two metal folding chairs are available for each reserved space, you might want to bring your own chairs.
*The location can occasionally be windy, although the building offers a great windbreak. Whether you set-up your tent on dirt or pavement, you must provide your own sandbags, or weights. A minimum of thirty pounds for each tent leg is recommended.
*Artists setting up tables will be under shade a pergola, however, complete shade at all times is not guaranteed. Bring a weighted patio umbrella if you want.
*Bring your California Sellers Permit. The county may do a spot check, so be prepared. Seller’s permits are free at https://www.ca.gov/service/?item=apply-for-sellers-permit
*Artist must provide their own event insurance. The Gallery is not responsible for any loss of artwork, tables, tents, or personal injury for any reason, at any time on March 20.
*Artists / Vendors must not breakdown prior to 4:00 PM.
