The DoSD team debated sending this email, but we've realized that if we don't send this email, we may not be sending any emails for much longer:
We need your help to stay in business. We generate revenue through advertising events happening in the city, but with no events to advertise, virtually all of our revenue has disappeared.
Since 2012, we've worked around the clock to be San Diego's go-to resource for discovering concerts, events, and all of the things that make our city great. We give away tens of thousands of tickets every year, from local showcases to massive headliners. For 8 years, we've helped people find the best things to do in San Diego.
If you've ever won tickets from us, used our RSVP platform to get free cover for a club night, or have discovered a new restaurant because of us, we ask that you please consider chipping in. If we can make it to our goal, we will be able to keep all of our staff employed throughout this pandemic.
Since the COVID-19 outbreak, we've focused on helping everyone in our local community connect with each other from home. We've thrown digital dance parties to bring people together from their living rooms. We've listed hundreds of digital events from local and national artists.
We want to keep going. We want to keep helping. We freaking love working here. And we want to be here on the other side of this crisis, to help our cultural community evolve into a new era.
