Site Update: GoBucks Going Away, But You’re Getting An Upgrade!

We’ve been hard at work here at GoAnimate and business has been going well, so we want to share some of the wealth!

As part of our site revamp, we’re thrilled to announce that all characters, backgrounds and props on GoAnimate will be unlocked for subscribers. The same goes for most of the Character Creators. You will no longer be asked to spend GoBucks each time you want to add a new item to your video.

It’s all part of our master plan to make GoAnimate the most powerful and simple animated video creation tool on the planet. Put another way – business is good. So we’re spreading the joy.

Yes, some video styles and Character Creators will still be reserved for business plan subscribers. But all the pay as you go items are now unlocked and free.

So What Does It Mean?

GoBucks, the currency on GoAnimate, are being retired for all GoAnimate users as of September 16, 2013. Now you can “GoCrazy” since most of our assets have been unlocked for GoAnimate subscribers. No more paying for little things like characters and props! Most importantly though, it will save you time, hassle, and money.

But What If I Have Extra GoBucks? We have a plan for that too! In exchange for your extra GoBucks, you will get a free upgrade to GoPlus or GoPublish - but you must opt in no later than November 15, 2013! If you do nothing, they will disappear.

Account-wise, it also means that if you’re a new GoPlus subscriber, you’ll now have the chance to publish to YouTube and make longer videos with access to our GoPlus Themes. For a full list of the feature upgrades from Basic to GoPlus, Click HERE.

If you’re a new GoPublish subscriber, you’ll be able to download your video in HD, monetize on YouTube, or be able to host on your site. You’ll also have access to our business exclusive Themes. For a list of business exclusive features and those specific to GoPublish, click HERE.

Here’s How It Will Work:

Click HERE and log into GoAnimate. There will be a message for you near the top of the page. Just click on that to proceed to the redemption page.

If you are a free user, you’ll see offers for upgrades to GoPlus and/or GoPublish, depending on how many GoBucks you have. If you are a GoPlus subscriber, you’ll only see an offer for GoPublish.

Each upgrade offer will be for one or more months, also depending on how many GoBucks you have. If you were a little bit short of earning an extra month, we’ve rounded up for you.

Simply select an offer from the dropdown menu and click the orange “Redeem Now” button. That’s it!

For Business Subscribers Who Made Additional GoBucks Purchases:

If you are a business subscriber (GoPublish, GoPro, or GoPremium) AND you purchased additional GoBucks other than the ones that were given to you with your subscription, the unused portion of your purchase will be refunded. Simply send an email to support@goanimate.com noting:

- the email address associated with your GoAnimate account

- the email address associated with your PayPal account

We will process the refund right away, but it may take as long as 2-3 weeks before you see this reflected in your PayPal account.
